Gordon Smith found a job recently at a Washington D.C. law firm. It's a good thing for him because back in November, Jeff Merkley and the people of Oregon fired him from the U.S. Senate. A lot of Republicans would like to see Smith run again, although it's unlikely unless the political climate for Republicans changes for the better.
